A Comfy Chair

Sitting down in my comfy chair after a couple of hours spent throwing bricks around this afternoon rates pretty highly.

Gallico's deceptively simple story, full of astute observations and humour, are just pure comfort reading. Mrs Harris with her indomitable courage, wonderful spirit and an incongruous desire for a Dior creation won my heart. I have lost two copies of this book through "loans" so far.
